The Turkish leader referred to the disappointing efforts of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) to gain a foothold in Albania, expressing confidence that the Balkan country will continue to work towards eliminating the group's structure in its education, health and religious sectors.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan does not miss a moment without reminding Prime Minister Edi Rama of the fact that organizations and individuals connected to his enemy Fetullah Gulen operate in Albania. Whenever he and his ministers get the chance, the first thing they say is the fight against the so-called "FETO" organization.
The same thing happened today during a telephone conversation between Erdogan and Rama, where, according to the Turkish president's office, bilateral relations and regional and global issues were discussed, but not only.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama on Thursday and discussed bilateral relations and regional and global issues. Erdogan said that the Turkey-Albania relationship is at an advanced level and that the cooperation in the defense industry will be further strengthened through commercial, economic and military contacts ", the Communication Office of Turkey announced today, reports " Anatolia ".
As has happened other times, Erdogan seems to have repeated his orders to Rama over the phone, that he expects a tougher fight against Gülen's group in the fields of education, health and religion. When the coup took place in Turkey, Erdogan brought Rama a list of institutions to be closed and individuals to be extradited to Turkey. That list has not been finalized, it has even been updated and Erdogan reminds Rama from time to time.
"The Turkish leader referred to the disappointing efforts of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) to gain a foothold in Albania, expressing confidence that the Balkan country will continue to work towards eliminating the group's structure in its educational, health and religious sectors ," it was further stated in the official announcement of the Turkish presidency.
We remind you that Turkey has asked the Albanian government to close over 14 educational and health organizations and institutions, as they are financed by Fetullah Gülen.
What does Erdogan want from Rama?
The Turkish media have extracted details of Ankara's demands and two names are undoubtedly at the top of the list: Bujar Spahiu of the Muslim Community and Klodjan Allajbeu of the American Hospital. Spahi is described as a Gülenist by Erdogan, and for this reason the inauguration of the Namazgja mosque has been blocked. Erdogan has asked Rama several times to intervene for his removal from the head of KMSH.
Allajbeu is also regarded as one of the persons with the strongest ties to the Gülenists. There have even been requests to close the network of hospitals he runs. Erdogan also wants his "head" in Turkey, and when the war against those he calls coupists began, Allajbeu stayed hidden and with bodyguards.
As far as the institutions are concerned, according to the Turkish media, today there are approximately 14 organizations funded by Gulen's foundations operating in Albania, including 2 universities (Beder University, EPOKA University), 5 colleges (pre-school and pre-university education), 5 madrassas and 2 institutions of language course. According to the Turkish media, "FETO" privatized and took over the madrassas of KMSH in the cities of Kavaja, Korça, Berat, Elbasan and Tirana within the framework of the SEMA Foundation./ Pamphlet
