Earlier, SPAK seized Lam's assets, specifically the DAAM company and 5 plots of land belonging to this company.

Barber and 2 businessmen Valter Begaj and Elvis Lami were arrested on the evening of March 13, 2024 by order of SPAK. The Special Prosecutor's Office is investigating Berber for "Corruption" and "Money Laundering", while the two businessmen are being investigated for active corruption and money laundering.

According to the accusation, Evis Berberi, during the time he was in charge of the Agency for Energy Efficiency and in charge of the Albanian Road Authority, awarded 6 tenders to the company of his partner, Valter Begaj "NET - GROUP", sh.pk At least 2.2 million euros it was the benefit of the director of ARRSH, Evis Berberi, handcuffed together with Valter Begajn and Elvis Lamin, from the cooperation with the latter in fictitious tenders and sales.

According to SPAK, the value of the money was transferred by Begaj, through his company 'Net-Group' shpk, to the firm DAAM shpk, which over the years had passed ownership in several hands, but remained in the indirect possession of Evis Berberi.
