"Don't blackmail the protesters," was the call that activist Arben Kola addressed to the State Police during his speech at the 21st protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office in Tirana.
From the protest podium, Kola addressed the police officers, stating that the protest is not being held against them, but in their interest, for more opportunities and better living conditions.
"We call on the police not to blackmail the protesters. We are here for you too. I know the conditions you work in. You don't even have money for shoes," he said.
The activist requested that no pressure be exerted on citizens and young people participating in the protest, while emphasizing that the goal of the rally is change through peaceful means.
"Don't threaten the youth. Don't blackmail the protesters. We will overthrow you peacefully," Kola declared to the protesters.
In his speech, he also focused on the high participation in the protest, emphasizing that the rally was spread over a large area of central Tirana.
