"Mundësia" party MP Erald Kapri delivered a critical speech at the plenary session, where he focused on the ongoing protests and political developments in the country.
Kapri stated that the protests are continuing, while accusing the State Police of being engaged in protecting the government and MPs from the reaction of citizens. According to him, the Assembly and the majority have lost political legitimacy, while the government is in conflict with the European Union.
The MP also referred to the protests against the project in Zvërnec, claiming that the government is trying to suppress the citizen reaction. In conclusion, he called for early elections as a solution to the political situation.
"The protests continue. The police are blocking the road, the institutions, just to protect you from egg attacks. But how long will you be protected?! There are 3 years until the end of this legislature, if you haven't realized that this hall has lost its legitimacy, but Rama has not governed for a single day. He even winked because of Zvërnec's investment, there was a big protest. That's why you are attacking the protest. This government has not only lost its legitimacy, but is in conflict with the EU. Rama says it is the best law ever made. The minimum we need to do is to declare early elections!", said Kapri.
