Bad weather continues to cause problems in some areas of the country, while land and homes have been flooded as a result of rivers overflowing their banks.

Recent reports indicate that the Vjosa River has overflowed its banks, flooding the lands near the Fier-Vlora highway.

The situation is also problematic in the villages of Lezha, where as a result of the collapse of the embankment in the Vaini lagoon in the Tale area, water has flooded the villages of Mylte, Barbullojë, as well as the Treshi and Spiteni fields.

From the footage broadcast by Report TV, the water level in these areas has reached up to 1 meter.

Several homes have been flooded, while many others are surrounded by water. The movement of residents in Rrila is carried out only by boats. Residents are requesting immediate assistance, especially food for livestock.

The Mayor of Lezha, Pjerin Ndreu, said that teams are working to rebuild the embankment.

The situation is also worsening in Çuka, Saranda, where the embankment of the Bistrica River broke during the night. Water has flooded the surrounding fields, causing considerable damage. It is reported that 5 homes have been flooded in Çuka, while residents are seeking help for food and clothing.

Emergency services arrived around noon to evacuate sheep stranded in two livestock barns in the Çuka field. The damage is extensive, as seen in drone footage provided by Report TV.

Meanwhile, the Pavllo River has overflowed its banks in the area called Vilë, blocking the national road. There is also flooding in the tangerine plantations in the Konispol fields in Çiflik, Shkalla, Mursi.

In Vlora, the Vjosa River has flooded 11 homes in the Novosela area and 3 others in the village of Fitore.

The situation in Fier is also serious. In the villages along the Vjosa, Kashisht, Çerven and Ferras, there is water on agricultural lands within the embankment, while the level of flows in the Seman River continues to increase. The drinking water wells that supply the Kafaraj station are still under water, increasing the risk to the safe water supply in the area.

In Berat, the Osum River has overflowed its banks, causing water to flow onto the city's pedestrian street, endangering nearby businesses. Emergency crews are working to remove the water.

A serious situation is occurring in the villages of Korça, Maliqi, Devolli and Kolonja where land and homes have been flooded due to the overflowing of streams. Isolated villages are reported to be without power. An elderly woman has been missing for 12 hours and is being searched for along the stream where she is suspected of having fallen.

In Pogradec, the Vërdova stream has also overflowed its banks. Several homes have been flooded, while sidewalks, sewers and the electrical grid have been damaged.

In the municipality of Dimal, the situation is alarming, mainly in the Dafinave neighborhood and in the villages of Çiflik and Arëz. Infantry Regiment personnel are engaged in the field to evacuate residents whose homes have been flooded.

Intense rainfall has caused the Osum River to overflow its banks, flooding large areas of agricultural land.
