The bad weather that has invaded the country in the last 24 hours has created problems in several cities from the north to the south. Almost every mountain area in the country has risen to the power of snow this Sunday morning. Snow thicknesses over 40 cm were recorded in areas such as Mirdita, Bulqiza, Kukësi, Dibra, Librazhdi, Korça or at any height above 300 meters above sea level.
The significant drop in temperatures added to the frost on the main roads of the country, but the authorities say that the situation is under control, except on some axes.
Blockages and problems due to heavy snowfall appeared in "Bypass-Qafë Murrizë" in Dibër, in Fushë Arrëz - Iballe and Qafë Thane - Librazhd and in other areas.

During the night, the mountainous areas of Mirdita were engulfed by heavy snowfall which continued with high intensity accompanied by storms in the areas above 300 meters above sea level. In Fan, Orosh and Selitë units, the thickness of the snow has reached several centimeters, blocking village roads. Snowfalls have brought some problems in some cities of the Elbasan District, such as the area of Gramsh, Librazhdi, Prrenjas, while in the city of Elbasan, the snow has whitened Funar and Gjinar.
In some villages of Elbasan District, electricity is missing while OSHEE groups are on the ground. Snowplows are also on site to clear the roads of snow.
In the Municipality of Librazhd, in the Stebleve administrative unit and the Fushë Studen area, the snow level has reached several centimeters, causing difficulties in road traffic.
The Prrenjas-Pogradec axis is blocked, making it impossible for cars to move. On the other hand, after a few minutes of blocking, traffic has become possible in Qafë-Thane, where the crossing is being done with chains and carefully by vehicles.
The territory of the Lezha District continues to be affected by rain and snow, where the snow has fallen as far as the city of Lezha and Laç. Electricity Supply

During the morning, the Radhimë substation was shut down for safety reasons, as there was a high water level from heavy rainfall. Currently, this substation has been restored to operation and the situation has normalized.

No problems are reported in the transmission lines, while in the Drin cascade the situation is presented with normal flow.
Water Supply
At the pumping station in Lezhë and Kurbin, there is a power outage and work is underway to restore normality. However, there is no interruption in the water supply. In the rest of the country, the water supply situation and wastewater treatment plants are in optimal conditions.
