Starting from yesterday evening, Italy has issued a yellow alert in 10 regions, as the country will be engulfed by rain and storms, in the central-southern areas of the Adriatic and in the lower part of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
This was announced by the Department of Civil Protection, which has issued a further warning for adverse weather conditions, extending the warnings issued in recent days.
The warning calls for rain and thunderstorms this evening over Calabria and Sicily. The rains will be accompanied by lightning, local hail storms and strong winds, explains the Civil Defense.
Based on the expected and ongoing phenomena, a yellow alert has been assessed for tomorrow, Tuesday August 20, in some sectors of Emilia-Romagna and Marche, in Umbria, Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Basilicata, Puglia, Calabria and a part of Sicily./TAR
