Analyst Genc Burimi said that Prime Minister Rama's interference in local government affairs is unacceptable.

While commenting on the recent meeting at the Municipality of Vlora and the request for the resignation of the directors in this municipality, the analyst said that in the Prime Minister's logic, he thinks he has the right to intervene in the local government.

According to Burimi, such an intervention creates problems on three levels: institutional, regional and political, at a time when it is up to the opposition to highlight issues related to the local framework.

For Burimi, Rama's visit to the Municipality of Vlora is a message conveyed to his close circle, a definition of the autocratic regime.

"It's like a sultan who has the power to do whatever he wants in his kingdom. It creates 3 problems, on the political, institutional and regional levels. Even if there are problems with the occupation of public spaces, water, etc., these are problems that are discussed at the local level and here the opposition should be heard, they should have their say, not Edi Rama. The regional problem, we have witnessed a humiliation of the figure of Mayor Ermal Dredha. A character with a long career and being able to humiliate him in such a way, where he is forced to self-criticize in front of the socialist leadership, seems immoral to me.

It is known in hindsight how they end if we take for granted that Veliaj was behind bars because it was the will of his superior, Rama, and that he is a member of Rama's inner circle. It is the definition of any autocratic regime. Rama has the impression that he is in a kingdom, and does not see the problem of elections as the OSCE-ODIHR says. Albania is Edi Rama and this is scary.

It is also a time for criticism from the opposition. Those who react are the opposition municipal councilors. They should go on strike, maybe go on hunger strike. The problem of Vlora is their problem. They should come out. A municipal councilor has more institutional legitimacy than the prime minister. These people should oppose today. They are the ones who should write to the EU negotiating team. They should be the protagonists today, they have received the vote from the people of Vlora. They should defend the honor of the people of Vlora. The institution of the Vlora parliament should speak. The voice of the opposition should be heard more.

There may also be disagreements between Mr. Edi Rama and the minister responsible for water, Ms. Balluku. It could be a frontal attack by Rama on Balluku, who complains about water. Water is the competence of the central government. By attacking today, it falls to the Samaritan, who is the mayor of Vlora, to hit the donkey later, which is Balluku, who can then hand him over to SPAK, as he did with Veliaj.

"In a country where Rama does these things, should he be held accountable?! Why should he interfere in local government? The central state should be held accountable, and these are the elected officials. The opposition should request an interpellation, about what is happening today. There are limits. Don't expect it from foreigners ," he told "Syri TV".
