Neritan Sejamini analyzed the visit of the Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken to Tirana and his messages during this visit.
Sejamini, a guest on MCN TV's "The Unexposed," said Blinken's speeches did not have any significant substance, but his stances had some consequences, such as the "death" of the McGonigal case.
"The messages were weak, clichés. Even with details, he reminded us of football matches, he also spoke about Dua Lipa, who is from Kosovo. There was no deep message. The importance of the Secretary's visit can be addressed in two aspects. It is not a visit with consequences and meaning, the only thing it has is keeping alive a good relationship with Albania and Kosovo.
When it comes to perception in Albanian politics, the consequences here are great. With this visit the McGonigal case died. Second, the opposition is in a more difficult position, because the idea was created that was coming out of isolation, but with this visit you understand that the US attitude towards the opposition will not change.
Lastly, Prime Minister Rama is a few steps ahead of the opposition. The opposition invents news on its own and is happy that Rama and the USA have broken up, Rama was preparing Blinken's visit. This is a postponed visit with the people at DASH who have ties to Albania, James O'Brien and Yuri Kim.
Rama is three or four steps ahead of the opposition. The opposition is at a dead end.
Today it was decided that even the strategy of the opposition in the Assembly has failed, because they do it for international "attention", that's where you have the international attitude", said Sejamini, among other things.
