Announcement of deteriorated hydrometeorological conditions during the dates 02-07.01.2026
Based on the forecast for the deteriorating marine hydrometeorological situation inside and outside the Bay of Vlora, during the dates 02-07.01.2026 starting from 06:00 on 02.01.2026 in the South-Southwest direction at a force of up to 5-6bft with wind speeds up to 10-15m/s and wave heights from 1.00 to 1.50 meters, we inform you that:
1. It is prohibited to issue a departure permit to small floating and fishing vessels that wish to operate within the Bay of Vlora and in the open sea, starting from 06:00 on 02.01.2026 until 07.01.2026 at 06:00.
2. Managers of small vessels and fishing vessels operating in and outside the Bay of Vlora should take into consideration the marine hydrometeorological conditions and take measures to ensure their safety.
3. In order to prevent any unexpected situation due to weather conditions, we request the cooperation of all entities and institutions that operate in the maritime field to take all necessary measures to secure vessels in the port and increase the readiness of the crew on board vessels.
4. International maritime transport vessels will continue to operate normally according to their respective destinations.
5. The improvement of the deteriorated hydrometeorological situation predicted for small vessels and fishing vessels will be after 06:00 on 07.01.2025.
