The former mayor of Kukës, Safet Gjici, is being investigated by the Special Prosecutor's Office for the charge of "abuse of duty" after the publication of the video where he was shown having sexual intercourse with an employee in the office premises.
Sources from SPAK told "Tv Klan" that after the clarification of the circumstances from the verification that is being carried out on this matter, the criminal situation for Gjici may change.
The first to answer about the video, the acquaintance she had with the mayor and the role she had in the Municipality, is the girl who has been identified by the Special Prosecutor's Office. Her testimony and the data on whether she was a subordinate of Safet Gjic will be important for the course of the investigation, as SPAK may file other criminal charges.
Investigations are also being conducted into the circumstances in which the filming was done, the purpose and the reasons for publishing the intimate video.
From the data so far, it has been learned that the intimate moment was filmed by a camera placed in the girl's bag. SPAK is investigating whether she acted alone or is part of a group that tried to ensnare Safet Gjici, as he stated the day before.
A few hours after the publication, the Government dismissed Safet Gjicin, as the latter claimed that he had been in a relationship with the girl for some time.
At the end of the investigative actions it has started, SPAK is expected to assess whether it will summon Safet Gjicin to take his testimony, or whether it will make a request to the court for a security measure. / Clan TV
