Former prosecutor Elizabeta Imeraj has spoken about the debate between the head of SPAK Altin Dumani and the deputy of Reestablishment Flamur Noka of the Law Commission.
She said that Duman's reporting to the Law Commission was something normal, but not very comfortable on the part of the prosecution. She added that politicians should not have moved on to specific issues.
Regarding the debate where Flamur Noka raised doubts about debunking the SPAK operation, Imeraj described this as a kind of intimidation for the prosecution.
"It was a normal report. A summary of the previous work of that institution was made. Seen in the part of the debates that arose along the way, I am not talking specifically about specific issues. Asking questions about specific issues, or throwing various accusations even for a moment that there may be doubts about deconspiracy, I think it was a political game that our politicians play. Politicians are there to stay within their legal framework. The prosecution was not in a very comfortable position.
It was not very comfortable and not very comfortable for the way the thing was built. In my opinion, it would be better if even our politicians were limited to the good level of the principled organism respecting the constitution and laws without going into specific issues.
What I can ascertain is a type of approach that continues to be that of our politicians not to be left without meddling in the affairs of justice. Every institution and those of justice should have accountability, but to justify their actions this is an element that must be seen how balances should be created. The second interpretation, which was related to whether or not there was a deconspiracy rather than an idea to seek information, I see from the point of view of doing a little intimidation in relation to the prosecution," she told "Report Tv".
