After Aida Hajnaj's departure, work begins on the new BKH building; special

Worth 430 million lek, the bridge project that will connect the SPAK building with the BKH building is revealed...

Just a few days after the official departure of Aida Hajnaj as head of the National Bureau of Investigation, work has begun on the new Albanian FBI building.

The case of Ms. Hajnaj caused a great deal of debate, as the law gives her the right to hold a second term, but this was not accepted by Dumani and his loyalists. After many clashes and disagreements, SPAK opened the race for a new leader and this means that in July Hajnaj will leave.

Coincidence or not, after her departure, SPAK has started work on a modern building for the BKH. There has been talk for months about this building, but only now has the work begun. At the door of SPAK, a project for the construction of a connecting bridge between the BKH building and SPAK has been published. It will be in the form of an above-ground tunnel, so that agents or prosecutors can easily move from one building to the other. The tunnel passes over "Jordan Misja" street.

The new building is opposite the building where SPAK is now located and 430 million lek will be spent on the construction of the bridge and the building. Altin Dumani himself, when reporting to KLP a short time ago, spoke about the building in question and the accusations that interrogations are currently being conducted without audio and video recordings.

" We have not had good conditions to exercise the investigative functions of the BKH. There are 4-5 investigators in one office, which makes it difficult to even question a witness. The new building has now been taken over and I hope that within this year it will become functional, where the investigators will be in more comfortable conditions to exercise their functions. In the new building, special rooms have been foreseen for questioning witnesses, recording with audio and video. There are also special rooms for questioning the investigated and the defendants, because all of this helps us too ," said Dumani.

The BKH was initially described as the Albanian FBI, but later there was a clash between the director and SPAK prosecutors. The latter wanted to treat the BKH as their judicial police, while the BKH is an autonomous body, as it has its own director.

In many cases, there have even been clashes over investigative files. "Pamfleti" itself has reported how prosecutors have rejected the agents' investigations, acting according to their interests. One such example is the case of Fatmir Bektashi. And this is the reason why Dumani and the others wanted to remove Hajnaj, to put a loyalist of theirs there and treat the BKH as an organ of SPAK. /Pamfleti
