The official Democratic Party has reacted strongly after the criminal attack on the editor of "Pamfleti", Gjergj Zefi.
DP spokeswoman Mirela Karabina said that the attack on Zefi is an attack on free speech.
She emphasized that the Democratic Party condemns the attack on free speech. Karabina requests from the State Police and the Prosecutor's Office that the perpetrators be brought to justice as soon as possible after this serious criminal act.

Last night there was a serious incident where the journalist Mr. Gjergj Zefi was hit in the back, as he was leaving the work offices.
For a country that accedes to join the European Union institutionally, the attack on free speech is unacceptable and damages Albania's image.
The Democratic Party condemns this attack on free speech and encourages, encourages and supports the State Police and the Prosecutor's Office to bring the perpetrators of this serious act to justice as soon as possible.
Such events are another indicator of the deterioration of media freedom in Albania, especially during the last few years", said Karabina.
