"Unnecessary use of force", the former head of the Police for the arrest of Meta: Such interventions only in flagrant violations

Former high official of the State Police, Arjan Hoxha, commented on the arrest of the head of the PL, Ilir Meta.

He said that the police officers who were engaged yesterday in the arrest of the PL President made a serious mistake.

Hoxha says that such a way can be intervened only in cases of arrests in flagrante delicto or when they are faced with terrorist acts.

"They didn't have to hide behind hoods and masks. Why should a police officer enforcing a court order go into hiding? The use of force was unnecessary, Ilir Meta was not dragged, but the former President, the former Prime Minister and the former Speaker of the Assembly.

The police officer has a legal obligation to repeat the call. The arrest could not happen in this way, I have personally implemented hundreds of court decisions, but never in this form" , said Hoxha.
