Well, Madam Minister, crime in the country is at levels that we have only heard of in countries like Colombia and Ecuador.
Today we saw Interior Minister Albana Koçiu bragging about security in the country in the Committee on Internal Affairs and Defense.
Koçiu spoke with statistics, saying that he has been removed from all blacklists.
" We have significantly increased security, achieving 95% detection of criminal offenses. The number of serious crimes has decreased, in the first nine months of this year 29 intentional murders were recorded, out of 41 that were in the same period a year ago. Serious accidents have also been reduced by 17% compared to a year ago, " the minister said.
Unfortunately, 'this eye-opening' of what Albanians clearly see every day did not last long.
A few hours after the minister illustrated her statement with figures, a terrifying and mafia-like assassination shocked Rinas, and consequently the entire country.
One person died from the hail of bullets and another ended up in serious trauma.
And the scenario repeats itself, a hail of bullets, people killed and maimed, and a car somewhere else burned with machine guns inside.
The most shocking thing is that this brutal murder put many others at risk, as it is an area with many people.
Not to mention that this crime occurred very close to the country's largest airport, an area constantly monitored by police and cameras.
This fact posed no problem for the killers. One of them, after shooting from the car, even got out and put a few more bullets in, to make sure the target would not survive.

Then let's not remind the minister that in our "safe" country just a few days ago, 3 people were killed in one day. A father who was stabbed to death in front of his children by a 63-year-old in Berat. A chef who was stabbed by a waiter after he was bullying him. Or a 25-year-old who kills his father after an argument at the dinner table.

Nese do kete nje keshilltar te mire, duhet ti kerkoj mos dale me ne tv, se sa me shume flet aq me teper gabon dhe neverit. Nuk ka lidhje me pozicionin qe mban, nivel medioker. Qe kur ka filluar ben show, tregon qe ska nivel dhe dinjitet po thjesht do te kopjoj shefin e saj.
Kjo e ndriti te shendetsia dhe me kete rast e cuan tek rendi. Pika qe su bie. Bejne eksperimente.
Jemi nje shtet prej letre. Krimi organizuar sot eshte shume me i sofistikuar se shteti. Krimi sotem ne aeroport ne nje zone qe duhet te jete shume e sigurte, tregoj serish sa i dobet eshte ky shtet. Duhet te fillojme te mendojme ndryshe, te behet riorganizim dhe specializim i gjitje struktures per tiu pergjigjur vales krimit. Krimi nuk ka asnje frike nga shteti. Eshte e frikshme.
Unë po flisja për Italine, jo për Shqipërine....
Kriminele e bandit ka ne cdo vend te botes. Natyrisht qe Shqiperia eshte vend I sigurt dhe s'ka me Gerdec e 21 janar, kur krimet e perbindshme I bente shteti, Saliu me familjen e tij.
Po ja do thote ministresha: "Nje rast sporadik ishte....", pastaj do dale edhe ajo e ministrise se perjashtme qe do te na e beje skenar filmash dhe ne fund palloshi i gjate qe do thote: Rendi eshte i sigurte pasi ata hane kokat e njeri tjetrit. Keta jane qelbesirat te cilet ne i paguajme nga xhepi yne, per te na genjyer, grabitur, mashtruar dhe per te na nxire jeten.
