Drivers of electric vehicles, who often become a source of accidents by violating traffic rules, have also been punished.
In two weeks, 4 drivers have been arrested and 9 others have been criminally prosecuted. In total, it is learned that 1958 administrative measures have been imposed.

The Traffic Police Services in Shkodra have increased their readiness and vigilance, with the aim of meeting safety parameters, preventing road accidents and managing traffic due to the increased flow of vehicles during the summer season.
They also continuously monitor road axes, with modern logistics equipment, logged and unlogged, in order to identify violations that are the source of accidents, as well as incorrect parking that becomes an obstacle to traffic. Controls have been carried out and drivers of electric vehicles, who become the source of accidents by violating road traffic rules, have also been punished with administrative measures.
During these two weeks, 4 drivers have been arrested and 9 others have been criminally prosecuted for the criminal offenses of "Irregular driving" and "Violation of traffic rules", and a total of 1958 administrative measures have been imposed for various violations of the Road Code, specifically:
166 measures for not wearing a seat belt;
155 measures for not wearing a protective helmet;
39 measures for using a mobile phone while driving;
28 measures for driving under the influence of alcohol;
13 measures for tinted windows;
260 measures for wrong overtaking
501 measures for stopping or wrongful standing;
94measures for not giving priority to pedestrians;
702 measures for other violations of the Highway Code.
Checks by the Traffic Police will continue on all urban, interurban and rural road axes, using all modern logistical means, with the aim of meeting road safety parameters.
The Shkodra Traffic Police appeals to all drivers to strictly enforce traffic rules, not to overtake incorrectly, not to use a cell phone while driving, and not to drive under the influence of alcohol or while intoxicated.
