The Durrës County Prefecture has warned citizens and institutions about heavy rainfall that is expected to last for four consecutive days.
The announcement calls for preventive measures, continuous monitoring of the situation on the ground, and immediate reporting of any problems that may arise. It also calls for inter-institutional coordination to deal with any potential emergency in a timely manner.
"Based on the information of the Military Meteorological Service for the period 06.02.2026 - 10.02.2026, high-intensity rainfall is expected in the territory of Durrës District, which may cause difficulties and problems. Given the previous situations that intense rainfall has caused on homes, businesses, infrastructure and the daily lives of citizens, it is necessary for all responsible structures to show maximum readiness, institutional responsibility and continuous cooperation ," announces the Durrës Prefecture.
Authorities also appeal to citizens to show increased caution and follow the instructions of responsible institutions during this period of deteriorating weather conditions.
