Vangjel Tavo, candidate of the Socialist Party for the early elections that will take place in the municipality of Himara on August 4, has considered running in the elections as a challenge while promising that he will be there to solve the problems of the citizens.
Tavo also spoke about the property issue in Himaras. For Tavon, the property problem is not part of the campaign, as it is a problem accumulated for years, but he added that this problem is being solved by the government. According to him, by the end of October, the residents of Himare will be equipped with ownership certificates.
" I considered it a challenge. I have served the electorate and residents of Gjirokastra district for many years, dealing with their problems and solving problems. I think the problems are the same everywhere and in Himare. I am convinced that I can succeed to address any concerns and problems that the residents of this municipality have had in the past or that may arise in the future.They will feel the change for the better of that wonderful community.
The property problem is an issue that is not part of my electoral campaign, but a problem accumulated for more than 30 years, an unsolved problem that, with the intervention and persistence of the prime minister, is getting a solution. It is towards the final solution of this issue, within 2 months they managed to get about 1200 citizens. By the end of October, all citizens of Himara will be provided with ownership certificates. This should have been resolved 30 years ago ." - said Tavo.
Asked about the relations with Greece, Tavo said that today the relations between the two countries are much different today than at the beginning of this issue.
" As for the intervention or interest of Greece, my focus will be on the residents of this municipality, their problems and the solution of the problems. I think that the relations between the two countries are much different today than at the beginning of this issue. Today we are in a another relationship position where intensive communication continues "- said Tavo.
Tavo said that there is no political battle even with a rival candidate, adding that he will deal only with the solution and problems of the issues that concern the community of Himara.
"I do not have a battle with any political force, nor with any rival candidate, but with the problems of Himara and its citizens. I do not deal with political forces, but I will deal seriously with the solution and problems of the issues that concern the community. I am running as a representative of SP but my identity is known, I am a minority but a representative of the SP," said Tavo.
