Journalist Fatos Mahmutaj says that former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has a personal problem with SPAK.
In an interview for "Ora e Fundit" on ABC News, Mahumtaj said that comparing Berisha with the former leader of the Russian opposition, Alexei Navalny, is hypocrisy.
"Who will organize them at the moment?" Berisha, who is accused of murder, theft, deportation of Albanians, who will lead these people, Ilir Meta, the famous gold thief? If Berisha has found to compare with Navalny, it is very far. We have a kind of extraordinary disproportion. Berisha is under house arrest for theft. Navalny was in prison only because he spoke out against Putin. Berisha, who has left no crime undone, still has the courage to speak. Berisha's problem with SPAK is a personal problem, it is not the problem of the Albanians, it is not the problem of the militants. The opposition federation has chosen the most wrong person to organize, it has chosen the most backward person, Sali Berisha.
The Albanian opposition has never lacked figures, enlightened minds, who could put the opposition forward. He wants to solve the problem with SPAK through a group of militants who made the wrong choice. This type of union does not give credit to either the opposition or Berisha. The opposition in general, if it will be represented by Berisha, makes a wrong choice", he emphasized.
