The Italian Embassy has reacted regarding the violence used during the protest organized by Rithemelimi and the Freedom Party in front of the Tirana Municipality.
The embassy declares that it condemns acts of violence, stressing that the right to protest is fundamental in a democratic society, but violence is not justified.
"The Italian Embassy in Tirana condemns the acts of violence committed during today's protest in front of the Municipality of Tirana. The right to assemble and protest peacefully is fundamental in a democratic society, but violence against objects or people is in no way justifiable," the embassy writes.
