The necessary equipment to repair the serious technical defect in the drinking water supply system in the city of Vlora arrives in Rinas.
Citizens in Vlora have been facing a lack of drinking water supply for four days, as a result of a serious technical defect in the drinking water supply system.
It is learned that the equipment necessary to repair the defect has arrived at Rinas Airport from Turkey and is expected to be transported to Vlora to begin the technical intervention.
The head of AKUK in Vlora, Flaures Shoshi, has assured the citizens of Vlora, who have been without water for 4 days, that the city will be supplied with water at midnight.
"The equipment is arriving, the city will be supplied at midnight today ," said Shoshi.
"A landslide and water intrusion caused the defect. The current pipe is plastic and is currently no longer used. Now, cast iron and steel pipes are used for this diameter. However, this is the third repair intervention that is being carried out. This time we are more careful and are not opening the line to the end, because we saw that the high pressure could damage it.
Water utility workers and engineers are on duty. Gratitude to the workers who have stood for 72 hours in the water and in brutal weather conditions to bring water to the city.
"I feel sorry for all the citizens who are not receiving supplies and we tell them that we are on duty day and night until we return Vlora's water supply to normal," he said.
