The lifting of the immunity of the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, which therefore paves the way for his arrest at the request of the Special Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, sparked debates tonight in the "Top Story" studio.
Journalist Robert Rakipllari said that this event weakens the opposition in the country.

According to Rakipllari, both SPAK and Berisha have committed violations that have brought several consequences. " There are some inconsistencies. The allegation of violation that you had to get permission from the parliament or not, I think there are doubts about the whole procedure. From the political point of view, Berisha has said that he does not violate the Constitution, I do not agree to go and make an appearance, but I want a decision from the parliament. Regardless of what happened, this decision is not being respected. Even today they did not vote for it in the parliament. He wanted to the parliament, he came to the parliament.
But there are violations from both parties, from SPAK, and from Berisha who now goes to the parliament and says it is unconstitutional ", he continued.
The lawyer of the former prime minister, Genc Gjokutaj, intervened in the debate, who said that the disgrace was committed by the Constitutional Court, "which violated the Constitution".
" The Parliament, the one we have, was informed by us that the issue was in the Constitutional Court. Everything came to mind, except that the Constitutional Court would violate the Constitution. He did not do the work he was obliged to do, but he said that one fifth of the deputies is not legitimate. That court was not ashamed, but says you have no interest ", said the lawyer.
Rakipllari, on the other hand, turned to Gjokutaj, saying that "his choice is taking Berisha to prison".
" I have this problem with you as a lawyer, you have the ex-prime minister and the ex-president as a client, since he is required to appear, he can be arrested tomorrow. That due to the obligation to appear, he may be arrested tomorrow. That's the whole point. The choice you made is taking Berisha to arrest ," he said.
