Prime Minister Edi Rama, among many warnings he made today at a media conference, declared that all those employees who are tasked with controlling public spaces and identifying unauthorized constructions will face a series of measures.
He said that these employees will face dismissals or even prosecution.
"While the permit has been seriously violated in the territory, in the Municipality the acts of findings are in order, in these cases, the measure for these employees is dismissal from duty, criminal prosecution and no longer being part of the administration."
"There will be prison sentences if you build without a permit, or if you park illegally. The prison sentence is longer if you build in areas that are under state protection. And in cases where unauthorized construction is carried out by state employees, or there is collaboration from those who are supposed to protect these territories, the sentence is longer," he said.
