Analyst Fatos Lubonja has commented on Prime Minister Edi Rama's stance regarding SPAK's request for Belinda Balluku.

Invited to the Studio24 show, Lubonja said that from the beginning of the Justice Reform in Albania, it was difficult to believe that a prime minister would build a justice system that could bring him before the law.

According to him, the idea that judicial reform was imposed on the government by internationals, especially the United States, has often been spread, but he said he does not share this position.

" The reform was done to seize justice and strengthen his power, but with cunning, using internationals ," Lubonja said.

According to the analyst, the prime minister has been able to build a public image of a government that promotes the rule of law and European integration, while at the same time, according to him, he has collaborated with organized crime structures.

Lubonja also focused on the role of SPAK, saying that in the early stages, the leaders of the prosecution may have been closer to the political power, but later, according to him, they also had support from internationals.

However, he added that he sees more elements of facade than substance in this international support.

In the end, Lubonja said that recent developments are a test for Albanian justice, emphasizing that if the new justice institutions are to truly function, investigations must reach the highest levels of power.
