The two major parties have reached an agreement on the Electoral Code and Reform, with the division of members in the Commission, but the situation does not seem so easy.
Although the agreement between the SP and the DP has been announced, analyst Ben Andoni shared the opinion that difficulties will be encountered again, and the reason, according to him, is the lack of trust of the major parties in each other.
"Many reforms have been made, in elections with a lack of trust between the parties. I think that the electoral reform and the code will not be implemented precisely because of this lack of trust. I say that it will encounter difficulties from both sides. It is both sides that are eager to put up obstacles. The big parties have their seats in Parliament, so I think that difficulties will be encountered, mainly to hinder the small parties. The law on party financing must also be regulated," Andoni said in his interview for "News 24".
But the analyst pointed out the lack of idealism in the opposition and their figurative "satisfaction" with the position they find themselves in, and this is sad when you see that there is a political detachment on the other side.
"There are people who have clung to the mayors like leeches and those conjunctures will inevitably remain. There is no idealism in the opposition, while the majority is a political detachment, in every way, and this is sad. There are no people in the opposition, even though many of them have been there for years, who say that a good Electoral Code is needed, they are not idealists, who say that this cannot be done, that we are 20 years behind. Figuratively, the opposition here seems to be fed up," Andoni underlined.
