Journalist Erl Murati has commented on the latest political developments in the country, focusing on the Electoral Reform procedures.
Regarding the amendment of the electoral law, Murati said that the Socialist Party will have to complete the 84 votes together with a part of the opposition, which according to him will be the faction of Lulzim Basha.
Commenting on yesterday's incident at the Media Commission, where MPs Bardhi and Noka removed the microphone from Flutura Açka, Murati emphasized that it was anyone's fault except the latter.
"The reform in the end has a big name, but it is a change in the electoral law and the SP needs the votes. He should do this with one of the oppositions and I believe he will do this with Basha's. The SP will implement the decision of the institutions and the well-known leader of the DP is Basha. It will also be easier to negotiate. Even the majority has completely severed relations with Berisha and his group.
If there was a union between the two DPs as I see it in the 2025 elections, it would be good to compete with the SP. They have decided to fight the battle with each other which is even easier. For the public interest, the disunity of the opposition does no good.
Everyone is to blame for yesterday's incident except Flutura Açka. She is a representative of the Democratic Party and there can be no talk of betrayal by the opposition. The sooner the parties understand that there are 2 PDs, the better it will be for them. Because they cannot compete with Edi Rama, they compete with each other. Rivaling each other, the attention of the electorate is directed to the battle within the opposition", he said for "BW".
