The fire service will be completely reformed and at the same time there will be a new approach for managers.
The Minister of the Interior Taulant Balla, during the certification ceremony for the 13 senior and mid-level management officers who earned the rank at the Security Academy, said that the General Directorate, according to the new approach, will also have a leading role.
"We are in the first stage of the process, to radically transform this service, but also with a new approach of the General Directorate, which will not have a coordinating role, but also a leading one", said Balla.
Balla, appreciating the work of the officers, repeated once again the promise of increasing their salaries.
Meanwhile, the minister asked for cooperation and quick engagement of all structures in emergency cases.
"I have an overview of the technical capacities in the 61 municipalities, the situation is not what I would like to have, but nevertheless if they unite all the forces with Civil Emergencies, with the Ministry of Defense, we know how to coordinate them, we have a power that guarantees us successfully coping with the situation of fires or other disasters", said Balla.
During the summer season, when there are more tourist flows, the Minister of the Interior considers it necessary to open temporary fire service stations.
