The defrauder of businessmen Florian Gjergji and several other people have been charged with the criminal offense of "fraud with serious consequences".
Through fraudulent schemes, Gjergji tried with his associates to get significant sums of money from businessmen, writing in the "Signal" and "Telegram" applications, disguised as officials or mayors.
The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has completed the investigations for only two cases, while 5 other cases are being investigated.
Based on the investigations, Florian Gjergji, who has not yet been located to be arrested for Economic Crime as it is suspected that he carried out the criminal activity from Germany, where he has been for a long time and using other persons wrote to businessmen.
In the prosecutor's file, it is stated that the suspects wrote to the businessmen saying that they needed large sums of money for various issues. The first case of fraud was discovered on January 10, 2023, where the businessman Pëllumb Salillari fell prey to the fraud, who was asked for 130 thousand euros. Florian Gjergji has been announced as an international wanted man with a security measure of "arrest in prison" in his absence.
