As SPAK for the first time has undertaken a mega operation against organized crime, a very important activity will be held in the country, in the framework of the fight against crime bosses.
From tomorrow, the 51st meeting of the European Regional Conference will be held by Interpol in Tirana, which will last for 3 days. The highest heads of the fight against crime from all the member states will be in the Albanian capital, to talk precisely about the increase in attacks on gangs.
" The final preparations are underway in Tirana, before the 51st INTERPOL European Regional Conference. Senior police officials from more than 50 countries will examine the main crime threats in the region, including drug trafficking, organized crime and cybercrime ," Interpol announced.

It was the Foreign Policy Commission of this organization that during the month of May decided that such an important conference would be held in Albania for the first time, while from today the Secretary General of Interpol has arrived in Tirana, as well as all the delegations from different places.
The conference comes at a time when Albania is suffering from the lack of arrests of some of the most wanted names, as they have gone abroad. Most of them are in Dubai and this has allowed them to escape extradition. Meanwhile, Interpol has assisted in the capture of many others in EU countries.
The most recent arrest is of "Leksi te Druve". He was wanted as part of the operation "Metamorphosis" undertaken last year, July 2023, and the security measure "arrest in prison" was taken against him in absentia for participation in a structured criminal group, for providing conditions/means for committed murder.
