Endri Shabani from the "Thurje" Initiative declares that the government should have fallen, in relation to the incinerator affair, and according to him this fact is strengthened by the recent statements of the fugitive deputy prime minister Arben Ahmetaj, who implicated Prime Minister Rama and the head of the municipality of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, as involved.
For Shabani, what is worrying is society's lack of reaction to this issue, which according to him has become normalized with corruption and evil.
"Our report was in June 2020, as soon as SPAK had started work. It was the second report after sterilization. We filed 5 charges that were later confirmed by the prosecution. The investigation has progressed and we have seen senior officials behind bars and the deputy prime minister on the run.
I am concerned about the fact that a man who is wanted internationally is found by a journalist and not by the police or Interpol. In an otherwise normal country, the government would have fallen if this had happened. We are at the point where corruption has become normal. There are hundreds of millions of euros belonging to Albanians that go into some pockets. This is the most disturbing part of the normalization with evil ", said Shabani, for "A2CNN"!
The head of the "Thurje" Initiative criticized SPAK for not having done enough to investigate the incinerators affair, which according to him for a short time Prime Minister Rama will be appointed as its head, as he added that the 3 mayors where placed chilies are included.
" SPAK is not taking the investigations where they should yet. It is only a matter of time, because in front of you is a structured criminal group that cannot be destroyed overnight. I believe that sooner or later it will go to the head of the octopus, which for me is the prime minister. No member of the SP comes out to give a statement without the Prime Minister's office knowing, but all of them can steal and the Prime Minister finds nothing. I believe the 3 mayors are responsible for what happened. In the case of Veliaj, we know that it exceeded the powers of the municipal council. I look forward to this topic being clarified. I am convinced that the political rotation has started ", concluded Shabani.
