The three Albanians brutally raped in Montenegro returned to Albania, and initially they performed medical checks in the emergency room in Shkodra.
The now revealed testimony of one of them, Klodian Meaj, seems to confirm the fact that the attack happened because of national symbols.
"We had the Albanian flag in the mirror of the vehicle we were traveling with", said the young man.
"We followed the road to HercegNovi without problems, where we stopped briefly due to some difficulties with the car. There, a group of people gathered and started hitting the vehicle, and then they returned to us, physically abusing us for no reason", he is said to have said while clarifying that even inside the car they were communicating loudly low, while insisting that there was no provocation on the part of him and the other two Albanians, Azem Dervishi and Doris Kopaçi.
The latter confirmed earlier off camera that they were hit with hard objects on the head and body. He added that he had only received two blows while his friends were more violent, while he added that they were unable to react and did not return the attack to the violators at any time.
The Democratic Union of Albanians in Montenegro also reacted to the barbaric beating of three young Albanians there, demanding an explanation for the incident, which its head, Mehmet Zenka, claimed was caused by eight people wearing military. According to Vijesti, the political force in question has requested an immediate response from the competent institutions.
"DUA urgently calls on the responsible bodies as well as the Prime Minister Milojko Spajic and the Minister of Internal Affairs Danilo Saranovic to take all the necessary measures to clarify the circumstances of the unacceptable behavior towards the three Albanian citizens. We want to know what is the cause of this attitude", the announcement states.
