A dangerous situation has arisen after the displacement and subsidence of the foundation of the 110 kV high voltage pole, no. 15, connecting the Egnatia HPP with the Librazhd substation.
The problem was identified as a result of ground movements in the area, raising the alarm about the safety of the power transmission line.
Transmission System Operator (OST) specialists are still at the scene, where they are continuously monitoring the situation and assessing the stability of the metal structure.
In parallel, specialized geologists are conducting technical assessments of the terrain to determine the causes of the displacement and the potential risk of further deterioration.
Sources on the ground indicate that an emergency measure is being considered to increase safety, which includes reinforcing the foundation and stabilizing the pole through connection with steel cables, in order to avoid collapse or interruption of the power supply.
Authorities emphasize that the line is currently under full technical control, while any intervention will be carried out with maximum priority to ensure network security and a stable energy supply in the area.
