The meeting of the municipal council of Elbasan, which was interrupted on Monday after the incidents that happened in the hall, was again accompanied by tensions today.
Some citizens supported by the group of opposition councilors are still today protesting at the entrance of the hall where the meeting is being held to cancel the decision to increase the drinking water fee.
The head of the group of opposition councilors, Blendi Himçi, declared an indefinite boycott of the meetings of the Elbasan municipal council.
The citizens together with the opposition councilors have requested the withdrawal of the decision to increase the drinking water tariff by 40 percent in the city of Elbasan.
We recall that at the meeting on Monday, the citizens entered the hall where the meeting of the Municipal Council was taking place and clashed with the councilors of the majority, which led to the cancellation of the meeting.
