President Bajram Begaj has reacted to the incident in Shkodra, where Arben Anamali lost his life while saving 2 tourists. The 51-year-old was the captain of one of the municipality's boats that are put at the service of tourists.
But two of them were in the water and the captain did not hesitate to jump in to save them. A heroic act, but one that cost him his life, as he himself was unable to get out of the water.
"We pay tribute forever to Arben Anamali, the 51-year-old captain from Shkodra, for the heroic act of rescuing two tourists from drowning, demonstrating a social model and heroic spirit. I am with his family in these difficult moments of pain," Begaj said.
