The Tirana court has released all protesters who were arrested by police during the February 20 protest on suspicion of throwing Molotov cocktails and fireworks at law enforcement.
The court imposed mandatory reporting security measures on 17 protesters, including 3 minors, while another was released without security measures due to mental health problems.
18 arrested protesters appeared before the court, mainly in the area near the Parliament, where the most clashes and incidents between police and opposition supporters took place.
The latter accused the Police of using violence against demonstrators on a disproportionate scale, attacking them with tear gas and water cannons, while some others were allegedly beaten with rubber batons by uniformed and non-uniformed police officers.
Meanwhile, from a video posted on social media, it appears that the protesters are enthusiastic, chanting "Rama, get out" even from the court cage.
