Traffic on the road segment in the Arrat e Gurrës area, part of the Librazhd-Pogradec axis, will continue to remain blocked after a massive landslide that has made the road impassable.
The segment was expected to open at noon today, but the situation on the ground has forced authorities to completely stop the movement of vehicles and pedestrians for safety reasons.
According to the Albanian Road Authority, the vehicles of the implementing company have been withdrawn and an urgent geological and technical reassessment is currently being carried out, as the terrain appears unstable and challenging for intervention. Specialists on the ground are considering the possibility of allowing the movement of small and emergency vehicles on an alternative route around the area.
ARA calls on drivers to use the recommended alternative routes and to carefully follow road signs and Traffic Police instructions.

An urgent geological and technical reassessment is currently being carried out, as the terrain appears unstable and challenging for intervention. Meanwhile, specialists on the ground are looking at the possibility of movement only for small vehicles and emergencies on a road in the surrounding area.

For cars:
Maliq – Lozhan – Strelc – Gramsh – Elbasan
Qafthanë – Pogradec – Korçë – Leskovik – Përmet – Tepelena
For heavy tonnage vehicles:
Qafë Thanë customs point – Macedonia – Bllata customs point – Arbër Road
"Asking for the understanding of drivers and all residents of the area, please carefully follow the road signs and the instructions of the Traffic Police," the announcement states.
