The State Police has announced the implementation of a plan of measures that foresees restrictions on the circulation of heavy vehicles during the summer season.
According to the official announcement, the measures have been taken to ensure road safety and improve traffic on high-traffic roads during the tourist season. The restrictions will be in effect from June 15 to September 15.
These measures will be applied to highways, interurban roads and other road segments connecting coastal areas and tourist destinations, where a significant increase in traffic is recorded during the summer.
Emergency vehicles, vehicles of the State Police and other state institutions, as well as vehicles transporting essential goods, including perishable food products, according to the provisions of the relevant instruction, are exempt from the restrictions.
Also, for specific cases related to critical supplies or emergency situations, the competent authorities may issue special authorizations in accordance with the legislation in force.
