Analyst Mentor Nazarko has commented on Meta's political approach regarding the presidential election process in North Macedonia, where Meta expressed his appreciation for the opposition candidate in North Macedonia, Gordana Davkova.
Nazarko said that Ilir Meta for VMRO-DPMNE sees this "tifo" more as a "political metaphor".
" I think Meta has it as a political metaphor for restoration. That is, he will build the narrative that even a long-lived figure as prime minister like Gruevski, regardless of the difficulties he had, the political emigration he had, is coming back ", Nazarko told ABC News.
According to Nazarko, Meta with this line-up will honor the narrative that a long-lived figure as prime minister Nikola Gruevski is returning, so it can happen to him and Sali Berisha.
" As Gruevski returns, so can we. Meta and Berisha. He has maintained good relations with the current VMRO, but the truth is a bit different with what today's VMRO represents in relation to Gruevski. Gruevski has broken with Mickovski, this party does not represent Gruevski in terms of restoration, and Gruevski is supposed to create his own party and align himself with the West ," said Nazarko.
