Academic Artan Fuga has analyzed the current state of the country, describing Albanian society as “tired, violent and in a phase of degradation.” Fuga stated that Albania is going through a civilizational crisis, where violence, division and lack of values have become part of everyday life.
"Today Albanian society is in constant tension, we do not know each other's boundaries. This shows a deep lack of social integration. Crimes are being committed by unintegrated people, who feel abandoned by the state ," Fuga said in an interview with "A2CNN".
According to him, politics has become the main source of violence and social degradation. " Albanian politics no longer produces politics, but only verbal conflict. The majority has closed pluralism, while the opposition blames the people for its own failures," he added.
The academic raised the alarm that the country is emptying and aging, while education is failing to educate with values, but is producing isolated and frustrated individuals. " We have lost the connection with knowledge, with work, with ethics. Today there is no hope, because the law does not function, justice has no authority and the citizen no longer trusts the state, " Fuga declared.
Describing the current situation as “the height of bitterness,” he said that Albanian politics only solves the problems it creates, forgetting the citizen and his real needs. “ The new MPs are a cause for concern, because they are the product of closed lists, not of merit. We are producing violence, not hope.”
The academic warned that the country is "very close to moral and social collapse" if it does not regain its connection to knowledge, justice, and citizenship.
