Since the early hours of this afternoon, traffic on the national road axis connecting the Southeast Albania region with the capital has been significantly heavier due to the large flow of vehicles in circulation.
The return from the weekend vacation of hundreds of families from Tirana, who spent two days in Korça, Pogradec and other tourist areas of the Southeast, has brought a heavy burden on traffic, making movement extremely difficult.
The most problematic segments were reported from the "Murrashit Turns" in Librazhd towards Elbasan and further from the Bradashesh roundabout towards the Krraba Tunnel, where vehicle queues were kilometer-long until late in the evening.
To cope with the situation, the Traffic Police has been on the ground with increased forces along the entire Librazhd-Elbasan-Krraba Tunnel axis, with the aim of managing traffic and avoiding complete blockages.
