Roland Bejko has come out against Lulzim Basha. Today it was announced that he, along with Alibeaj and several other deputies, are thinking of creating a new party, abandoning Basha. According to him, Basha cannot be the leader.
" I had the support for Mr. Basha with conditions. I wanted him to fight against Berishism and corruption and this has been missing. This support has already ended because I cannot fight for someone who does not want to win the war ", said Bejko.
" I have always wanted the DP to be a right-wing party and I have not been very friendly with the party leaders. Basha hardly went out to hold press conferences, when we told him to call Berisha on Friday, he didn't come out anymore. We had American support, we had the party logo and seal, and we had entered the fray in the local elections. We lost all three of these and when I saw this, I decided to leave ," added Bejko.
He said that it is to create a new party, with a new logo, with a new name and to hold elections from scratch for the party. " I encourage the creation of a political movement and I will be a strong voice to defend right-wing values. Lulzim Basha is not "non grata", there may be defects in leadership, but he is not Sali Berisha ", said Bejko.
