
President Bajram Begaj has condemned the terrorist attack in Ankara, while expressing solidarity with the Turkish people and government.
"I share the great concern about the terrorist act that happened in the surroundings of the Turkish Parliament in Ankara today, when as a result there were several injuries from the ranks of the Turkish police forces. I express my unwavering solidarity with the Turkish people and government for the forceful condemnation of terrorist acts of all forms, which bring concern and chaos to civil order and peace and beyond. Such terrorist acts are approaches of an outdated world and contradict the principles and values of the modern world ," Begaj writes.
An explosion was heard this morning in front of the Red Crescent building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, followed by gunfire.
"Two terrorists who came in a vehicle in front of the gate of the General Directorate of Security, carried out a bomb attack and one of the terrorists blew himself up," said the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ali Yerlikaya.
After the explosion and gunfire, police forces took extensive security measures in the area. Yerlikaya announced that from the incident that happened around 09:30, where two police officers were slightly injured.
