Young Albanians arrested in Britain have been the headlines of the British media almost every day regarding their criminal activities, especially in the field of drugs.

Regarding this situation in a Skype call, lawyer Naim Hasani said that out of ten thousand five hundred prisoners in England, 1200 of them are Albanians.

"Over 1,200 Albanian citizens are serving sentences in British prisons. Prison overcrowding remains a major problem for the government."

"Some time ago, the British authorities took such a step where prisoners could be released from prison earlier. And from a political and financial point of view, keeping foreigners in British prisons constitutes a major problem," the lawyer told Report TV.

The lawyer further added that from 2023 the law in England states that if you enter Britain in violation of a detention order after a criminal offense, you must return to prison and serve not only the first sentence, but also the sentence for breach of detention, a sentence that ranges up to 5 years in prison.

"Last week, 145 Albanians were arrested in a drug house, 45 million pounds of narcotics were seized. This is an alarm that Albanians are engaged in such criminal acts," said Hasani.

According to him, it is unfortunate that young Albanians think they will get rich quickly in England after considering the consequences if they are caught.

"It is a great tragedy that young Albanians who come to Britain and will quickly become rich through such acts, but end up in prison or are deported and are denied entry to this country. They cannot enter Britain until the Home Office certifies that they are not a person of danger to British citizens," he underlined.

At the end of the conversation, Hasani said that traffickers also use artificial intelligence to create montages as if the procedures for staying in this country have been eased.

"Traffickers use artificial intelligence to edit the interviews we give, saying that the laws have changed and the procedures for residence have been simplified, but it is fake news to encourage desperate people. After all, the laws regarding asylum and immigration are becoming stricter every day," the lawyer concluded.
