The United States Embassy in Tirana announced that Marines from the Marine Rotational Force–Europe have arrived in the capital to work alongside Albanian cybersecurity specialists.
It is a two-week specialized training, focused entirely on Cyber Defense Operations, a priority sector for national and alliance security.
Through an official announcement, the US diplomatic headquarters emphasized that this activity is not sporadic, but a continuation of the long-term support that the US has provided to Albania for network security.
"By sharing expertise and building new capabilities, we are helping to strengthen Albania's cyber defenses and support our NATO Alliance," the embassy said in a statement.
Further, it is underlined that the ultimate goal is to keep Albania's critical networks secure and ready for future challenges.
The announcement was accompanied by photos from the facilities where the training is taking place, demonstrating the cooperation on the ground between the militaries of the two countries.
