The head of the "Thurje" Initiative, Endri Shabani, has commented on the conflict that took place in the Royal Court, between Elia Zaharias and Prince Leka, which made headlines in the media today.
In the show "Now with Erla Mëhillin" on Euronews Albania, he emphasized that it is ridiculous to call the royal family, since according to him, Ahmet Zogu proclaimed himself king while adding that he stole the treasury of the Albanian state and fled.
" There is a dimension here, a family drama that we didn't have to deal with at all. All this begins with a funny scheme, where we refer to the royal court, the prince king. It's funny in countries that have a royal tradition, not here that a man at certain moments declares himself king, runs away under strange circumstances and takes the state treasure with him , "he said.
