Prince Leka filed a report today at Police Station No. 1 in Tirana against his ex-wife Elia Zaharia and her father Gjergj Zaharia. Prince Leka requested a protection order claiming that his ex-wife's father raped him.
Prince Leka's lawyer, Aranit Roshi, said on the Now show in Euronews Albania that there is a general agreement that regulates the property relationship where the prince has given up some property derived from family inheritance and has given it to his ex-wife.
When asked by the lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu regarding the agreement between the former couple and the property claims by Elia Zaharia, he stated that the latter did not have any additional property claims other than those accepted in the agreement.
" The agreements are formalized, notarized, whether it is for the custody of the child or the dissolution of the marriage. Even the agreement that recognizes certain property rights is notarized and was made with the consent of the parties. There is no claim for additional acreage or arising from the development of the property. Elia was assisted by professionals and in the definitions of the family code it is defined who is the property that enters the legal community and this property does not include the property derived from hereditary property. This was a clear part, it was the will of the prince to offer comfort to her and the girl ," said the lawyer.
