As the next session for Fredi Beleri is expected to be held today, Omonia has announced holding a protest in front of SPAK.
Through a message on social networks, Omonia calls on citizens to participate in the protest, which will be held at 2:00 p.m., the time when the court session is scheduled to be held.
"Himara elected the Mayor on May 14. Any decision different from what the people want is unacceptable. Time for the mockery to end," says Omonia's post.
Fredi Beleri, the candidate of the "Together We Win" coalition for the municipality of Himara, was arrested on May 12 in his bar, while offering money worth 8 votes in the amount of 40,000 lek. The arrest came after the denunciation to the prosecutor's office by a person who had indicated that he had been offered money in exchange for votes. Also, Beleri, according to the prosecution, promised to include them in schemes for the benefit of Greek citizenship and pension from the Greek state. While through his associates, it is suspected that he paid sums from 50 to 200 euros for a vote in his favor.
