The former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako, who was arrested for abuse of office by SPAK, has requested freedom in the Appeal of GJKKO.

Through the defense lawyer, Vangjush Dako has addressed the Special Appeal to change the decision given by the judge Erion Bani who left him in the cell.

The lot has not yet been cast in the Court of Appeal to appoint the judge and the date when the hearing will be considered.

Dako was arrested by order of the Special Prosecutor's Office on the suspicion of abuse of office in two installments. The first related to the granting of permission for the construction of a building in Durrës in violation of the law and the tender for the purchase of a project for the development of the coastline that increased its value 10-fold.
