Political scientist Roland Bejko said that the filing of charges by SPAK against former President Ilir Meta shows that the new justice system is on the right track and is not influenced by political pressure. Bejko also commented on the political pressure on SPAK, specifically mentioning Prime Minister Edi Rama's reactions after the investigations against Erion Veliaj. He said that the political attacks, both from the majority and the opposition, are an indication of the fear that politicians have towards a justice system that is no longer under their control.
